To create a new Audience, navigate to **Patrons** --> **Audiences** and follow the steps below.

Click **+ New Audience**

Give your Audience a name and description.

Click **+ Add Rule** and add as many as needed to segment your audience properly. To view a list of options, check out this article about the many filters available. 

Click **Apply** to apply the filter.

Adding Rules to your audience is a great way to reach a specific group of your patrons. You can add as many "and/or" rules as needed. Some examples would be:

- Using Tags to reach major donors.
- Using the rule for Events and then "Not Attended" to reach patrons who haven't been to a performance in a while.
  - Additionally, you could use the "Attended" Events to reach patrons who are constant supporters!

There are many other ways to reach your target audience, so feel free to reach out to our customer support team if you're looking for a way to connect with patrons but aren't sure how!

Click **Save Audience**.

If your Audience includes your entire Patron Database, a pop-up will appear confirming that is what you wanted.

If a patron has a primary and secondary email on their patron profile, both emails will be included in the audience and receive the email.
