Can I add a policy acknowledgment to my registration?

Whether you have policies you'd like your registrants to acknowledge or a waiver-like piece of information for patrons to review, you can easily have them acknowledge it using our Forms feature or Student Registration Form.

When you create a new form, you can add a multiple-choice question with only two options: "I understand" or "I acknowledge." By making this question required and not offering an alternative, users will have to accept these terms before completing their purchase.

This can be attached to a variety of different transactions within Ludus. Most often, we recommend utilizing Forms and attaching them to events, classes, etc., as needed. However, if you are wondering which place is best for your needs, check out this article.

Add an acknowledgment to the Form

To add this to a Form:

Create a new form or edit an existing form.

Click the blue box for Multiple Choice.

In the top box, insert your main question. Something to the effect of "Do you acknowledge the following guidelines?" and then under the description, insert the text for your policy.

Make sure the "Required" box is checked. Then, in the choice fields, type your desired language, such as "I acknowledge," and remove all other options by clicking the red minus icon.

Attach the Form as needed.

Add acknowledgment to the Student Registration Form

To add a general waiver directly to the list of questions for student profiles:

From the top navigation bar, click More --> Students.

Click Settings at the top of the page.

Under "Student Registration Form", scroll to "Custom Registration Fields".

Click + Add New Field.

Fill out the following areas:

Type - Radio (aka multiple choice)

Label - The name of the field. We recommend something like "Policy Acknowledgment"

Description - The bulk of the policy you want them to acknowledge.

Visibility - Do you want this on Adult registrations, Under 18 registrations, or Admin Only? Check all that apply.

Necessity - Make sure to choose Required instead of Optional

Click Save Settings.
