If you'd like to offer comp tickets, there are a few different ways you can go about this:

  1. Comp an entire order when selling via your admin panel.

  2. Create a $0 ticket price that is "admin only", so only admins have access to this price when selling tickets via your admin panel.

  3. Create a 100% off discount code that you can give to patrons to use when buying tickets on their own (can include limits to give X number of free tickets). Click here to read our help article using faculty / staff as an example in this situation.

1. Comp an entire order

When selling tickets via your admin panel, you have three payment options: Credit, Cash, and Complimentary. You can process sales via your admin panel by clicking the New Order button next to an event time and adding tickets to your cart. Once you're to your cart, click the Complimentary button. This will comp the entire order.

2. Create a $0 ticket price that is "admin only"

Click the Pricing button next to your event and add a new $0 ticket price, ensuring you check-off the "Admin Only" option. Now when you go to sell tickets via your admin panel (using the New Order button next to an event time), the $0 price will be available. Remember, only admins have access to this via your admin panel. This price will be hidden from patrons.

3. Create a 100% discount code

Click the Pricing button next to your event and then select the Discounts button. Here you can create a 100% discount code that anyone with the code can apply to their order during checkout.

If you'd like to offer X number of free tickets to patrons such as faculty/staff, read this help article which goes through the steps of setting this up. You're able to set a "Tickets Limit" so these patrons get X number of free tickets and then pay for any remaining tickets in their cart.
