How much does Ludus cost?

3min

There's no need to budget out Ludus. When we say everything is free to your program, we mean it. A $10 ticket is $10 to your program.

So how do we make money?

We pass a 5% + $0.75 / ticket convenience fee onto your patron when they pay using a credit card. Cash, comp, and $0 tickets have no fees. (If you'd like to absorb the convenience fee instead of passing it on to your patrons, this is possible.)

For tickets $3 or below, we implement a flat Micro Fee of $0.50/ticket that overrides the default ticket fees. This means fees will be significantly lower for lower-priced tickets.

There are no additional charges such as setup costs, annual fees, or hidden charges.

Is Ludus actually getting the full 5% + $0.75 per ticket?

Nope! We actually use this to cover the credit card processing fees we're charged. Whatever is left over is what we make as a company (so we can keep the lights on).

Feel free to take a look at our pricing page, view our Ludus Pricing Table, or play around with our handy fee calculator.

Example

If a patron buys a $10 ticket using a credit card, they'll pay $11.25. We take the $1.25, cover credit card processing fees, and you're left with the full $10. There are no additional fees you have to pay.

Micro Fees: If a patron buys a $3 ticket using a credit card, they'll pay $3.50. We take the $0.50, cover credit card processing fees, and you're left with the full $3. There are no additional fees you have to pay.
