when a membership is set up to be auto renewing it is purchased via a credit card online this could be monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months, or yearly when one of these recurring memberships is purchased with a credit card that membership will auto renew indefinitely until the patron cancels the membership when a recurring membership is purchased by credit card the patron will get an email showing the membership purchased and a link to manage the recurring payments memberships that don't have a payment card on file due to being cash or comp, will receive an email to renew 7 days before the expiration of the membership so that they can renew by adding a credit card patrons will receive an email alerting them of the upcoming renewal as well as when the renewal charge is processed for the membership memberships can be canceled at any time by the patron by accessing by clicking the manage your recurring payment link in the email when accessed patrons will see the the below screen where they can do the following cancel the membership update the payment method including updating/changing credit cards edit the billing information see a history of charges for the membership renew a recurring membership in the box office via the admin panel memberships can also be renewed via the admin panel to allow paying by card, cash, check or any other method you accept should the patron wish to not renew online to renew as via the admin panel open the patrons record via the global search tool this can be done by name or email address you can select the patron either from the patron section or from the passes results after opening the patron record click on the pass to renew this will open the membership page click the renew button to renew the membership you will be able to take payment via all payment methods and can comp the membership as well the next due date will be updated at this time
