Name Your Own Price Tickets
A "Name your own price" or "Pay what you can" event is a great way to eliminate financial barriers and encourage participation.
For example, you can have a free event where the base price is $0, but if someone is willing to pay for their tickets, they can do so. You'd be surprised how many people will pay for a ticket to support your group!
Like adding any other ticket price, go to Pricing -> Ticket Prices next to your event and click the + Ticket Price button.
In the "Basic Info" section next to the "Price" field, check the Allow patron to enter custom price checkbox to convert this price into a "name your own price."
Set the minimum of what they can pay.
Example: If your event is free, but you want people to have the option to pay for their ticket, set the minimum to 0. That way, tickets will default to $0 unless they decide to enter a higher price.
Save the ticket price when you're done adding any other info or options to the ticket price.
