We highly recommend pairing the reader while it is plugged in.

Once a mobile reader has been paired, it can be set aside. You do not need to click anything on the mobile app to process a sale with the Mobile Reader.

## Pair the Mobile Reader to an iOS Device

Once you have logged into the [Ludus Mobile](docId\:dKY5cIv0O2E9R-Cpu8tVf) app, you are ready to pair. To do so:

Before you begin to pair, make sure your reader is charged, turned on, and close to your mobile device.

Click **Pair With Reader**.

From the page of available readers, click **Connect** for the desired reader.

## Pair the Mobile Reader to an Android Device

Once you have logged into the [Ludus Mobile](docId\:dKY5cIv0O2E9R-Cpu8tVf) app, you are ready to pair. To do so:

Before you begin to pair, make sure your reader is fully charged, turned on, and close to your mobile device.

Click **Pair With Reader**. 

You will be prompted to pair with the reader. Click **Pair & Connect** for the first reader to be added to your account. You do *NOT* need to allow access to your contacts and call history.

If you are pairing other readers, click **Pair** after the first reader is connected.
