Your public-facing Volunteer sign-up page (if enabled) allows both existing and new volunteers to select shifts they would like to take.

If you have **Auto-approve Shifts for Verified Volunteers **activated, your already approved volunteers will be automatically approved for the shift.

If a new volunteer signs up for a shift, their request will be routed to the **Approvals **screen until an administrator reviews and approves the shift.

### Call to Action

On the page below is your **Call To Action** message (*see* [Volunteer Settings](docId\:ejZSzDJ6DmS-LUkXMR78B)) along with the **Signup** button for new volunteers.  

Existing Volunteers will sign in via the button at the top of the page.

Additionally, any opportunity that you have set as active will appear to be selected.

### New Volunteer Sign-up

Before being able to sign up for a shift, a person must sign up to be a volunteer from this page by clicking the Sign Up Button on the Volunteer Public page. Alternatively, an Admin can sign up someone as a volunteer from the Admin-facing Volunteer page.

Prospects that click to sign up will be asked for basic information to create a profile, as well as any questions you may have added with a form (s*ee* [Volunteer Settings](docId\:ejZSzDJ6DmS-LUkXMR78B))

They will also be prompted to select which of the roles they are interested in.

###  Volunteer Profile

Your volunteers can log in to their volunteer records via the **My Account** link on your public pages.  This also happens when they click **Sign in to Volunteer** for any of the shifts you have posted.   

Once logged in, your volunteers will see their normal patron account along with a new Volunteering section on the right, which allows them to see the volunteer profile, which shows their number of upcoming shifts and hours volunteered (if active).

When they click the **View My Profile** button, it will take them to the **Volunteer Profile** page, which lists upcoming shifts, new opportunities to sign up for, and hours served, if you are tracking those.
