Effective May 12, 2025, the FTC’s new “Junk Fees Rule” will require anyone selling live-event tickets to clearly show the total price, including all required fees. While previously required for select states, this will now affect **all** states.

Your patron-facing pricing will list the total, including fees for each ticket, when these fees are *passed on *to the patron, such as the Ludus fee or any Custom Fees you create.

## Is there a way to turn this off?

No — Ludus helps your group maintain compliance for all ecommerce rules, and this cannot be disabled. Violating the FTC's Junk Fees Rule can result in civil penalties of up to $51,744 per violation, with each instance of noncompliance treated as a separate offense.

If you prefer not to have fees listed, you do have the option to *absorb fees,* which means patrons simply pay the price of the ticket with no additional fees added on.

## What does this look like to patrons?
