Pairing the Mobile Reader for Android Users
The Ludus development team has pushed out some updates to the Android terminal application that should help with simplifying the initial connection to the mobile readers, and also help to maintain the connection during usage. If you are unsure of whether your app is updated or not, just go to the Google Play store, find the Ludus Mobile Terminal app, and hit Update if the button is available.
If you do NOT have the most up-to-date version of the app, you may experience issues with the below directions.
The physical reader (M2 terminal) MUST be at 100% battery before you begin the initial pairing of the reader to the mobile app. There should be a USB-C charging cable that was included with the reader you purchased from Ludus - this is the recommended cable to charge your device with.
It is likely that the first time your reader pairs with the app, the hardware will need to have a brief yet required update. Even if your device is plugged into the charger at the time of pairing, it MUST be at 75% or higher to successfully pair with the app and begin updating.
If your charger is above 10%, it will still be able to connect to the mobile app. However, if there is an update available for the device, it will not be usable within the app until it is charged above 75% and successfully updated.
Be sure to pair via the green Pair with Reader button within the Ludus Mobile Terminal app. If you attempt to connect the mobile reader to your phone via the device's Bluetooth settings rather than the application, it will not successfully work with the app.
If your reader has been trying to connect for over 20 minutes. Perform a "Force Stop" on the Ludus Terminal App. Verify that you have given permission for location and Nearby Devices. Then restart the application and pairing.
