The Ludus Standard Terminal

Document image

The Standard Terminal is a touchscreen payment terminal that connects directly to your Ludus admin panel's cart when selling in person via your web browser. The Standard Terminal pairs with any laptop, desktop, or tablet logged in to Ludus. This allows patrons to swipe, tap, insert cards, and pay with both Apple Pay and Google Pay.

The Standard Terminal has a 5-inch display that supports PIN on glass. Similar in size to a smartphone, the Terminal can act as a hybrid countertop and handheld payment reader when using Ludus' web-based selling tools in your computer's browser.

Your Terminal works over WiFi and must always be on the same network as the device you're collecting payments on. For example, if you're selling tickets via your laptop, that laptop must be connected to the same network as the Terminal, otherwise, you'll receive a connection error.

Your WiFi network must use WPA-Personal or WPA2-Personal encryption and be password protected. WiFi is not supported for non-password-protected networks or enterprise networks. Please consult your tech department or expert for any questions about your network.

Note: If you purchased a BBPOS WisePOS E (what we call the Standard Terminal at Ludus) from another platform that uses Stripe as the payment processor like ShowTix4U/Cur8, On the Stage, or BookTix, these will be directly compatible with Ludus. Follow the below set up instructions to connect to your new Ludus account.
