Test Transactions
Note: You should not perform an actual transaction to test your terminals as the Ludus fees are not refundable. To this end, we have a test procedure in place.
Once you have paired and connected your mobile reader or terminal you can use the following to create a test transaction to verify communication between the selling computer and the card reader.
The following directions will bring you through how to test your reader.
- Navigate to More, on the top navigation bar, and select Mobile Apps

2. Scroll down to the section labeled Test Mobile Payment Terminals

3. Click on Test Payments. This will send a $0.50 payment to your card reader.
Ensure that your reader is appearing below the blue "Send to Terminal App" button. Or click Change to switch to a different reader.

4. You will see Waiting for payment on your selling computer and in the Terminal or Mobile Reader App you will see the amount come up to take payment.

5. Insert a card into the chip reader or use Apple/Google Pay to make a payment.
6. The payment will be accepted and you will see the confirmation on your selling computer.
Once the charge is accepted it will automatically be refunded right away.
Note: There is a limit of 2 test transactions. If you use both and then need more, you can reach out to customer support and ask for more to be added.
