if a patron has a card being used for their recurring donation that is no longer active or able to be used, they will receive 3 emails from ludus when it attempts to charge that card these emails will notify the patron that their charge has failed and prompt them to update their information in each email, it will say how many attempts are left (2 or 1) on the admin side of things, it will also show you exactly what's happening and if the recurring donation is failing once the final attempt is made, and it is unsuccessful, the donation will be cancelled this will show on the admin side (under their donation), and the patron will also receive an email notifying them note you can reactivate the recurring donation on the admin panel if needed
