The fundraising tab in Ludus is home to Donations and can set up Fundraisers. If you are looking to raise some money for a specific item or your group in general, this is the place!

This feature has been used by a multitude of groups, all different, and all have used it successfully. It's a great way for patrons to show their support for your group, venue, and whatever else you might need to raise money for.

Ludus was built for the performing arts by people who care about them, and we want to make your life easier. The Fundraising feature in Ludus has so many amazing extras, including:

Create Specific Categories for Patron Donations

Set up Fundraising Levels (IE - $100 is a Gold Donor, etc...)

Create Custom Messages with Tax Information

When you enable Donations under the Donations Settings, you will be able to not only allow patrons to donate during checkout, but also enable them to go to the Donate tab on your patron site and give at any time.

If you would like to accept donations from patrons on your Ludus page, you will need to turn on the donation feature.

Donations are different in comparison to ticket sales. By law, we're not allowed to pass fees onto patrons when they make a donation. If a patron makes a $10 donation, then their card will be charged a flat $10.

For your program, the donation fee is simply what we're charged for credit card processing which is: 3.5% + $0.50 / transaction. For example, if a patron makes a $10 donation, you'll receive $9.15. 

Can patrons be asked to cover the fees for Donations?

 Donations made through the Fundraising page do ask patrons if they would like to cover the processing fees for the donations.  

Donations made as part of any other order (like a donation made during a ticket order) do not currently offer this ability.

Donations can be collected at checkout, or a separate transaction (by selecting the "Donate" tab).

This depends on how you choose to receive ticket sales proceeds.

 at the end of your events, we send a separate donation check to you at the beginning of every month for the previous month's donations.
